Katie & Josh Married

When my friend Katie asked if I would photograph her wedding I was so excited! She has the sweetest spirit & an amazing quirky style– I knew her celebration would be an absolute delight. We met over coffee to discuss details, and she told me she wanted to give me complete creative freedom, to take risks & do whatever I wanted when it came to photos. What resulted was a mix of my usual style with a bit more emphasis on a documentary approach, which I always want to dabble in more of! Even though I ended up being super sick (worst timing ever!) it was definitely one of my favorite days to capture. Katie & Josh were married under a blanket of the tallest trees, tucked around a group of their closest friends & family. One of my favorite parts was when Katie sang “You Are My Sunshine” to her love in front of everyone, under the altar that Josh had made himself with their initials carved into it. Lavender was tossed lightly onto their faces as they walked down the isle for the first time as husband and wife. It was an absolutely picture-perfect wedding that I’m thrilled to share with you!
