I’ve had the pleasure of photographing C’Anne’s gorgeous family twice before this session. Not only is she a joy to work with, she’s also a totally gorgeous mama who makes taking her photos a dream! (I mean, have you seen that hair!?) We decided to do her maternity session at Morcom Rose Garden in Oakland, which is now a new obsession of mine! It’s a hidden little gem of a location, making a sweet background for C’Anne’s new baby girl she’s expecting. Here are some of my favorites from the day!

I’m so excited to see my bestie’s face and story highlighted in this month’s issue of Angelic Magazine! We went to San Francisco for her photos, and I must say this girl is gorgeous inside and out (though I’m a tad biased;) I’ve been photographing Irene since we were in middle school. When I was just getting into photography, I made her be my first model with my classy point-and-shoot on a hill near my house. I think it’s fair to say we’ve both come a long way since then!

Angelic Magazine is all about faith, fashion and music & I’m a little in love with it. You can read Irene’s incredibly raw, real and beautiful testimony here! (p.21) https://issuu.com/angelicmag/docs/april2016

They couldn’t all make it in the mag, so here the rest of my favorites from the shoot are below!

Looking back at my favorites from Ali & John’s engagement session, I’m reminded why I love what I do. Documenting love is such a beautiful thing, and these two are most definitely in love (in the most adorable way, I might add)! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding later this year. If it’s anything like their engagement session, I’m going to never want to put my camera down;)

I am beyond ecstatic to have my hands-down-favorite-shoot-of-all-time featured on the incredible bridal blog known as Burnett’s Boards! As my first featured bridal shoot EVER, it’s so surreal to see my work amongst so many other talented artists who create such swoon-worthy images. Seriously, someone pinch me now!

Inspired by ocean tones and feminine pastels, this romantic seaside bridal & boudoir shoot was stitched together flawlessly thanks to an amazing group of talented creatives. The breathtaking designs of Wear Your Love were the perfect match for the soft vibe of the shoot. The custom-made pieces were a dream to photograph on our bombshell of a model! Add to that the gorgeous handiwork of our fun hair, makeup & floral team and the result is magical:)

Check out the incredible ladies who contributed to the shoot & show them love:

The best thing about photographing close friends is that they will do pretty much anything for you;)) If you know me at all, you know that mornings are not my favorite thing in the world. However, the lighting is fantastically diffused, making it ideal for photographing! Ergo, this early morning photoshoot. I met Shea in high school and she is now one of my best friends. Such a good friend that she gladly showed up at my front door before the sun was awake and let me photograph her in the dewy morning cold. We had the deal: I’d provide the coffee and she’d provide the modeling (and I’m so glad she did)! We picked out the florals together and came up with a simple concept for this bridal-inspired shoot, keeping it relaxed and romantic. I also used this opportunity to do a bit of experimental photography as you’ll see below–a bit of a different approach than traditional bridal portraits. Enjoy!
